Where Our Need is Greatest The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbor's down the street, across the country and around the world in emergencies. The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. You can help ensure that the Red Cross can continue to provide these lifesaving services and has the resources, talent and ability to continue to deliver them by making a donation to support all of its core services today. Financial Donations It is our policy to honor donor intent 100%. Please select the fund you would like to support and know that your gift is used for that purpose. The American Red Cross is one of several community organizations working together to respond to disasters. The Red Cross involves annually matching knowledge, skills, interests and experience of individual's with opportunities to serve their community. Blood Donors are always Needed Your blood donation can make the difference between an adequate supply and a shortage. All blood types are needed, especially type O negative. Only 38% of Americans are eligible to donate blood and of those only 8% do. That amounts to only about 3 out of every 100 people. To learn more click here. |
